The beginning of the year is a time of fun and celebration. In Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante during the whole month there are numerous dances and shows related to the carnival.
Whereas, the last procession called El Gran Desfile is also a contest for the queens of the carnival.
The procession passes through Ramón Gallud street, at Plaza María Asunción and ends at the corner of Ramón Gallud and Patricio Pérez.
It’s a night of fun for both residents and tourists of all ages. Colorful and spectacular costumes, numerous platforms, wonderful and long plumes.
It’s really worth seeing it with your own eyes.
In addition to the special time spent amid the singing crowd, you should visit this charming town. Sometime a small fishing village.
Beautiful, old tenement houses, winding streets, magnificent views and sandy beaches delight at any time of the year.
It is worth to add that the city of Torrevieja has four wonderful beaches: Playa del Cura, Playa los Locos, Playa Naufragos and Playa del Acequion.
Beautiful, seaside promenade in the evening is filled with a colorful crowd.
