"In the past one of the most important seaports in the world.
From here the largest transatlantic vessels sailed, including the famous Titanic. The city is mainly associated with the famous band The Beatles and football team Liverpool FC. I recommend a walk around the climatic complex of historic Albert Dock buildings. There is a whole lot of restaurants, galleries here, as well as the Tete Museum and The Beatles Story. It delights Pier Head and “three gracje” (Three Graces are three unusual buildings, which in 2004 were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List). But people arrive to this city for the Beatles – they came from here and the history of the band began here in the famous The Cavern Club. The city can be visited in their footsteps, starting with the perfect museum, which is a mass of souvenirs, movies and music, the whole history of the band and the legendary piano from “Imagine” … till to the airport, where the Yellow submarine greets us, while in the departure hall a quote from “Imagine”: “Above us only sky …”
